Dr. Sara Schatz was born and raised on Long Island, New York, and completed her undergraduate degree in St. Louis. Her passion for veterinary medicine originally stemmed from working as an assistant in small animal general practice and wildlife rehabilitation/zoo medicine, but she fell in love with small animal emergency and critical care during vet school. Sara enjoys the balance of the fast paced, varied caseload of emergency medicine and the complexity of managing critical care patients. Her interests currently include trauma, sepsis, and learning more about extracorporeal therapies.
