Emergency & Critical Care Specialist

Dr. Ryan Reeves, DACVECC

Dr. Ryan Reeves was born and raised in the small town of Farmington, New Mexico. In his younger years, he could be found helping at his family’s used car lot. He attended college at The University of New Mexico, earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Colorado State University. Dr. Reeves completed an Emergency and Critical Care small animal internship and residency at AVECCC, earning board certification as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (DACVECC).

Dr. Reeves’s veterinary interests include mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal therapy, emergency surgery, and interventional radiology. Dr. Reeves enjoys learning new procedures that are not routinely offered and has a goal of bringing easy access to tracheal and ureteral stenting to the valley.

Away from the hospital, he enjoys spending time with his 2 cattle dogs, 3 cats, 1 horse, and soon-to-be wife (who is also a veterinarian). He loves backpacking, climbing, building, and fishing.
