Dr. Hunter McKee was born and raised in Florida, originally wanting to pursue a career in marine biology. After working with a team of veterinarians while spending time volunteering at a local wild bird rehabilitation center, he quickly fell in love with the field of veterinary medicine. Shortly thereafter, he began working as a technician in a specialty veterinary clinic, gaining exposure to the field of emergency and critical care medicine. He maintained this interest throughout his undergraduate and veterinary school studies and is looking forward to continuing to expand upon this passion during his internship at AVECCC. Following internship, he hopes to begin working as an emergency veterinarian in a large specialty practice setting.
