Dr. E.J. Baker was born in Michigan and raised in Northwest Ohio where he earned his bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry at the University of Toledo. He is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Blue Pearl Specialty Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He then pursued a residency in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Baker's professional interests include shock and resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal therapies, snake envenomation, locoregional anesthesia and analgesia, and management of sepsis.
