Dr. Danielle Minick
Dr. Minick grew up in a very small town in East Texas. She is originally an Aggie from Texas A&M with degrees in both zoology and wildlife/fisheries. Her veterinary career started with St. George's University in the Caribbean and clinical year at The Ohio State University. Her desert journey began with a rotating medical/surgical internship at VCA ARECA in Mesa. She survived approximately 1 year in general practice and finally transitioned back to her calling of emergency medicine.
Dr. Minick joined AVECCC (Peoria) in May of 2021 and her passion is emergency in general, but more particularly - wound repairs, blunt force trauma, and toxicities.
Some fun facts about Dr. Minick would be that she has traveled the world to work with animals and loves adrenaline rushes (skydive, swam with sharks, etc). She worked with elephants in Thailand, in South Africa with various wildlife conservation efforts, volunteered with a tiger refuge and Dallas Zoo giraffes! In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend bouldering, fishing or camping adventures.
