Dr. Baxter grew up in Southern California. She always loved animals but also found enjoyment in teaching. She teaches people every day at work and loves seeing the little lights turn on in people’s heads. She graduated from UC Davis in 2011 and did her internship right here at AVECCC (back then it was EAC). The internship program seemed like a challenging one that would prepare her for life as a vet (and it doesn’t snow here). She stayed with AVECCC because of the quality medicine we practice and the supportive team environment.           

Outside of work, Dr. Baxter is a full-time mom. She also has an orange cat and a crazy cattledog mix but will likely have more cats once the kids are older. 

In her free time, she enjoys painting and other various arts. One of her paintings was even chosen as a cover for a popular veterinary journal! She also enjoys various Sci-fi and fantasy realms.
